Katrina: Let Salman himself decide at what age he wants to get married
Reacting to fellow actor Aamir Khan's comment that it is high time Salman should enter wedlock, the 46-year-old said: "Aamir has been after me for this for a while now. I don't understand why everyone is after me to get married?" He was speaking at a promotional event of his upcoming action thriller "Ek Tha Tiger".
In the Yash Raj Films (YRF) project, directed by Kabir Khan, Salman will be seen with former girlfriend Katrina Kaif. Even in the film's trailer, Katrina has a line telling Salman's character that he has reached an age where he should get married.
Asked about her thoughts on Salman's marriage, Katrina said: "I think nobody else except Salman should decide at what age he wants to get married."
Kabir clarfied that the dialogue was not inserted into the film deliberately, but he couldn't resist the temptation of adding it. "Since I have Katrina and Salman in the movie, I couldn't resist having this," he said.

Listen to Katrina and Get Married, Aamir tells Salman
Produced by Aditya Chopra, the romantic thriller will see Salman pairing up with Katrina Kaif. Directed by "Kabul Experess" fame Kabir Khan, the film is set for Aug 15 release.
"I haven't seen the film. But I liked the promos a lot and I think this will be a super hit. I texted Salman, Kabir saab and Adi (Aditya Chopra) that I liked the promos," Aamir told reporters here.
"Ek Tha Tiger" promos have been banned in Pakistan following allegations that the film portrays the neighbouring country's intelligence agency in a bad light.
When asked about this, Aamir said: "I will see it for sure. But I don't know why they are not showing it there."
He said: "We have been telling him to get married since a long time now. He didn't listen to us. Maybe he will listen to Katrina."
Who will be the Gujarati Juliet? Not Bebo for sure!
Kareena Kapoor may have marched out of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming romance film, but the filmmaker is yet not ready to hang his head in disappointment.
In fact, according to sources, he has bigger plans in place, the first step of which is to take lead actor Ranveer Singh on a trip to Gujarat to prep him for his role. Our source from the film says, “Bhansali is planning to take Ranveer to Gujarat in order to make him familiar with the place, where the film is set, apart from introducing him to the crewmembers.”
Jumping the gun?
Sources close to PC recently claimed that she had been approached to play the female lead in this Bhansali project. However, informers inside Bhansali’s camp indicate that PC’s ‘friends’ may have made the announcement a tad too early. Especially, since a new face could also be considered.

I really want to work with Priyanka and Katrina
When we meet up with Saif Ali Khan, he is dressed in a pair of crisp white kurta pyjama. He looks to be brooding and we wonder if the debacle of his Agent Vinod is still a shadow looming over his next film. However, a few minutes later, Saif effortlessly slips into his trademark tongue in cheek style. An excerpt of the interview…
How did you feel when Agent Vinod failed to create magic at the box office?
I wish we had made the film faster. I had invested a lot of time into making it. I don’t think Agent Vinod was a bad film. Even after its early demise, people didn’t stop talking about it. All the people who worked in the film had really pushed themselves in an attempt to make the film work.
Your latest film was pitched as Love Aaj Kal 2...
No. This one is nowhere close to Love Aaj Kal. LAK was about the confusions of a fast-paced modern relationship as compared to the depth and time and meaning of yesteryear romances. Our latest film has a beautiful theme that is friendship.
Homi always surprises you. He is a lot of fun and he is good looking too. He looks like a star himself but no one takes him seriously. You first stereotype him without realizing that he is the most hardworking and sensitive person you will ever meet. He has a certain aura about himself.
A BBM message is being forwarded, apparently revealing the climax of the film. Have you read it?
Ha ha ha! Is it worth adapting? If yes, please send it to me. We might borrow the concept to make the sequel.
Deepika and Diana are taller than you...
Yes! By a foot and half. They are freakishly tall and slim girls. They remind me of Amazonian animals. I’m 5 feet 10 inches tall, and with their high heels, they stand above 6 feet, which is as good as Amit ji. Being a good producer and to avoid neck pain, I got rid of their heels as much as I could (laughs).
I really want to work with Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif. Though I did work with Kat in Race together. However, I don’t think she considers it her work. At the time, she was still finding her feet in the industry.
What’s happening with Go Goa Gone?
The shoot will start on the 15th of this month. I postponed the shoot as I had to wrap up other important things. The timing of Go Goa is just right… it will benefit from my next release. We are going to shoot the film in Mauritius.
Is Agent Vinod 2 on the anvil?
No. However, the character has potential.

Immortals of Meluha: Hrithik as God but Who will play Goddess Sati?
Ever since Karan Johar acquired the film rights for the novel Immortals of Meluha, there has been much talk about which stars would step into the shoes of Shiva and Sati — the protagonists of the novel.
Our source says, “The rumour mills have been suggesting names like Vidya Balan, PC and even Katrina to play Sati. Now, the battle is between Kareena and Priyanka.”
And with Bebo and PC having engaged in very public bashing of each other on Karan’s TV chat show, it only remains to be seen in whose favour the scales will tip.

It's official! Katrina is sexiest woman in the world
It's official! Fans from across the globe have voted to make Bollywood beauty Katrina Kaif the sexiest woman in the world.
The heroine, who made her debut with Kaizad Gustad's 'Boom' in 2003, was bestowed the honour for the fourth time by the Indian edition of a leading men's magazine.
She beat the likes of her contemparies Freida Pinto, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone and international celebrities like Megan Fox and Scarlett Johansson.
The 27-year-old actress' future release suggest that it's unlikely anyone will displace her from the top of the sexiest list any time soon.

Katrina and Salman on the dance floor?
It looks like Sheila is all set to put on her dancing shoes again. After a slew of item numbers including Sheila Ki Jawaani and Chikni Chameli, it is rumoured Katrina Kaif is now prepping up for her role as a ballet dancer in her upcoming film opposite Salman Khan.
Our sources tell us that Kat’s character Zoya is a ballet dancer, who not only takes lessons in the dance form but also teaches it to her fellow students. The film’s crew has shot some of the sequences in London’s Trinity University that is known for its contribution in arts and music.
It is being learnt that while Kat didn’t really take any lessons to portray her character in the film, she has dedicated her role to all the choreographers who she has worked with in the past. Katrina confirms to us that she is playing a dance teacher.
However, she denies that her character has anything to do with ballet dancing.

How Tiger's deglam Katrina was transformed into archetypal Yash Chopra heroine
It was poet-thinker Harindanath Chattopadhyay who said, “It’s very difficult to be simple.” By that logic, Katrina’s most difficult role is in Ek Tha Tiger.
Director Kabir Khan, who had earlier insisted on a no-make-up look for Katrina in the film New York, has gone even further and insisted that she wear clothes from her own wardrobe for this film. Katrina’s not complaining either.
A friend of the actor says, “Katrina loves dressing in casuals. She hates getting dolled up and wearing makeup. She is all smiles during the Ek Tha Tiger shoots.”
Interestingly, it’s the opposite for Katrina in her forthcoming Yashraj film opposite Shah Rukh Khan.
Apparently Yash Chopra is adamant on transforming her into the archetypal Yash Chopra heroine.
In fact, Gulzar has penned a paean to Katrina’s beauty and the song has been composed by AR Rahman. Says our source, “It’s Gulzar saab’s most romantic song since Jab Bhi Yeh Dil Udaas Hota Hai. And it can’t be sung to Katrina in torn jeans and a floppy top.”
Apparently Yashji has been telling friends that the love song Shah Rukh sings to Katrina is the most romantic number he has shot since Kabhi Kabhi Mere Dil Mein.
Katrina’s role in Ek Tha Tiger is minimalist in every sense — her character doesn’t speak much, either.

Revealed: 'Raajneeti 2' to take off with Katrina, without Ranbir
This time she takes centrestage.
Yes, Katrina will play a king-sized female politician. Raajneeti 2 will chronicle her rise to power and then her descent into a megalamaniacal selfserving politics that would finally destroy her.
So excited is Katrina by the challenge of playing ‘hero’ for the first time in her career that she has been calling Prakash Jha regularly goading him to get the show on the road before Satsang which the director is supposed to start with Katrina.
And Prakash, it seem has relented. Committed to do a remake of the South Indian film Ko early next year with Akshay Kumar, Prakash had decided to do Raajneeti 2 first.
However there is bad news for those hoping to see the Ranbir-Katrina pair come together again in Raajneeti 2. In spite of being the only main character apart from Katrina who remains alive at the end of Raajneeti Ranbir has opted out of Raajneeti 2.
Apparently he was not kicked by playing side-kick to Katrina in what would predominantly be her show. Also, we are told Ranbir doesn’t like to work with the same director twice. Not everyone is as luck as his best friend Ayan Mukherjee and former best friend Siddharth Anand.
And though his character didn’t die at the end of Raajneeti, Ranbir won’t be part of Raajneeti 2. Again I’d be doing a spin on the Mahabharat, though this time the spin would be completely different. ”
When asked when he starts Raajneeti 2 Prakash chuckled, “If Katrina had her way it would start tomorrow. I am quite enthused by her excitement level. So it will happen sooner rather than later. ”
Katrina incidentally has not signed any new film except Raajneeti 2.

'Ek Tha Tiger' to release Aug 15
The new trailer will be released online and can be seen on YouTube after 12 noon and in theatres Friday.
Directed by Kabir Khan and produced by Aditya Chopra, the film will see Salman-Katrina pair on silver screen after four years. Their last film together was 2008 release "Yuvvraaj".

Emraan beats Ranbir, Imran Khan: To romance Kareena or Katrina
Yup, the Mahesh Bhatt protégé has come a long way.
We’ve now learnt from an extremely reliable source that Emraan has pipped the competition namely Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan, to play the lead in the first joint production of Karan Johar and Ekta Kapoor.
Says the source, “The merger of Karan’s Dharma and Ekta’s Balajee is monumental and the cast has to reflect the importance of the union. The film to be directed by newbie Akhshoy Roy is an edgy love story.
An unconventional devil-may-care 27-28 year-old hero was needed. Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan were the immediate choices. But then Emraan who is currently Balajee’s blue-eyed boy seemed the best bet. ”
Interestingly Kareena Kapoor and Katrina Kaif have been approached to play Emraan’s love interest.
Says the source, “Both Karan and Ekta feel the Emraan-Katrina pair would be magic. ”
However Katrina’s dates don’t seem to be working out. Curiously after the overhwhelming response to Chikni chameli for Dharma’s Agneepath nothing seems to be working out between Karan and Katrina. A case of mismatched kundlis, perhaps?
Apparently Katrina loved the script.
“But she wouldn’t be able to find a window in her schedule for the film, ” says a source close to Katrina.

"Whether Indian girls or foreigners, I don't know what is the difference. They all are artists, whether you are from here, whether you are from Taiwan, whether you are from wherever in the world, I think this industry is open to everybody. This place is for everyone, so everyone is welcome to be here to perform and be a part of the industry," she said.
The actress who has some of the best item songs to her credit like "Munni Badnam" and "Anarkali disco chali", says she likes other item songs too.
"Some really cool songs have been out in the recent past. I like (Kareena Kapoor's) 'Chhammak Chhallo' very much. I like (Katrina Kaif's) 'Chikni Chameli'. I think these are really cool," the 39-year-old said here Tuesday when she was asked about her favourite item songs.
Malaika was at the Four Season Hotel here to launch the Taiwan Excellence Campaign 2012.
Meanwhile, she revealed that the music of her home production "Dabangg 2" is still in the pipeline and she has not decided whether she would do an item number in it.
"We are in the process of shooting the film. But what we want to do for the songs, that is still in the pipeline. Nothing is decided."
Malaika was last seen in the item song "Anarkali" in "Housefull 2".

"Finally finished editing the theatrical trailer of 'Ek Tha Tiger'. If you liked the teaser wait till you see this one. We will bring it out at the end of this month on June 29, " director Kabir Khan tweeted.
A romantic thriller, "Ek Tha..." is produced by Aditya Chopra.
Salman-Katrina will be seen together on the screen after four years. Their last film together was 2008 release "Yuvvraaj".

Ek Thi Tigeress: Kat takes on the big cats sans Salman
Katrina Kaif makes a solo appearance on one of the posters of 'Ek Tha Tiger'. What could be the reason?
When was the last time you saw a solo heroine poster of a film starring Salman Khan? Not in the recent past, no. But here is Katrina Kaif, his co-star in Kabir Khan’s upcoming film who has the rare honour of being on a Sallu starrer film poster.
Buzz is that the production house has just released a solo teaser and poster of the heroine. What could be the reason? Is it her closeness to the Dabangg actor that has her enjoying this special privilege?
Or is it her rapid rise to super stardom that has earned this publicity? Or has the actress been successful in entrenching herself in the Yashraj camp? However, sources have a different story to tell.
Says a source, “She features in three of Yashraj’s big ticket projects which star the three Khans - Salman, Shah Rukh and Aamir. Currently the production house just wants to stay on her right side and use her winning streak to the optimum.”
There is also the speculation that the makers decided to have Katrina solo on the poster because the film doesn’t have other known names in it.”
Whatever the reasons but for Katrina it is a win-win situation.

Sheila becomes Munni for Rs 2.5 crore
Last year's biggest Bollywood competition was between two popular songs, Sheila Ki Jawani and Munni Badnaam Hui, but in a strange turn of events, Sheila, or rather Katrina Kaif is set to become Munni.The makers of the under-production Osthi, the Tamil version of Dabangg, plagued by fears of a possible comparison between the new Munni Badnaam Hui with the original, have decided to go for a new version of the song.
According to sources, they are signing Katrina Kaif for it and have reportedly set aside Rs 2.5 crore for the song.
While Farah Khan choreographed the original song, Saroj Khan will work on the new version. A source said, "Saroj has just completed a great number for Prabhu Deva's Rowdy Rathore. When Osthi's director S Darani learnt about it, he decided on Saroj."
According to the source, Osthi's makers decided to tweak the original song because of copyright reasons. T Series, which holds the rights to the original song, has refused to grant permission to reproduce the song.
The source also added that Malaika Arora Khan had made it known that she was not available for item songs outside her home banner, and talks were doing the rounds that Bipasha Basu might be roped in. However, they have now altered their plans.
Sonu Sood, who will be reprising his role in Dabangg as Salman Khan's brother, is apparently the reason why Kaif will be signed on. The source said, "The producers were keen on Bipasha. But Sonu is pushing for Katrina. He has already informed her.Katrina always finds it hard to say no to her friends." Sood has been friends with Kaif, ever since he worked with the actress in Singh is Kinng. While in the original song, Sood has a limited screen time with 'Munni', in the new version, he will reportedly dance with the item girl from start to finish.
When asked about his friendship with Kaif and her casting, Sood said, "At the moment, all I can say is Katrina is a dear friend. Beyond that I'm not in a position to comment.
And yes, this time I'll have a lot more dancing to do." He added, "I am looking forward to that since my dancing partner is someone extraordinarily beautiful."
The new version of the film will star Tamil film star Silambarasan Rajendar, also known as Simbhu, in the lead.

Salman Khan Katrina Kaif to sign another film together
This film hopefully will now break the jinx that has prevented Kat and KJo from working together this far. Katrina was earlier supposed to star in Dharma’s sequel to Dostana with Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham. The project seemed to take rather too long to take off. More recently, Katrina all set to work with KJo’s Dharma in Ayaan Mukerji’s second directorial venture couldn’t allot dates for the same.
As a result of which the Kat-KJo partnership failed to take off once again. “Till the last moment, every effort was made to get Katrina in Ayaan’s project. But it just didn’t work out,” revealed a source close to the project.
Now, after two failed attempts to work with the actress, Karan Johar seems to have made up his mind to cast Katrina in the forthcoming Rensil D’Silva project starring Salman Khan.
Katrina, however, is willing to wait to work with Karan. “It doesn’t matter whether I am in Karan’s film now or later, or never. He’s a dear friend and I really enjoy his company,” said the actress. The Rensil D’Silva film will however go on floors next year.

Rajkumar Santoshi can now breathe easy since his much awaited Salman starrer is finally ready to go on floors early next year. Ramesh Taurani of Tips confirmed the same and said, “We are starting our film with Salman sometime in January or February 2012.”
Salman, who post his Dabangg and Ready success has become one of Bollywood’s most bankable and busy stars, has allotted dates for the Tips project from early next year. The film was announced in 2010 but had failed to take off. “We need just one heroine for this film. We haven’t finalised her yet though,” revealed Taurani.
According to a source close to the film, “Keeping in mind the triple success if Wanted, Dabangg and Ready, Santoshi’s film with Salman will also be a typical mass entertainer.”
Interestingly, both Santoshi and Taurani had major plans to work with Salman which failed to take off in the past. Santoshi has always wanted to make a sequel to his 1994 film Andaz Apna Apna but it never materialised. Ramesh Taurani too had attempted to work with the Khan brothers, Salman, Arbaaz and Sohail in a remake of Amar Akbar Anthony. That too failed to take off.
