I`m extremely fond of Sonal Chauhan: Neil

"For all asking... I really like and am extremely fond of @sonalchauhan7. While we're very close friends, we're not in a relationship, " tweeted Neil.

Neil Nitin Mukesh's snake scare!

Actor has a encounter with the deadly reptile during the shoot of his film in Fiji

Neil Nitin Mukesh and his alleged girlfriend and co-star Sonal Chauhan recently spent time in Fiji, shooting for their new film.

During a particular schedule, where they were shooting under the water surface, the two suddenly got surrounded by sea snakes. However, little did they know that the reptiles were extremely poisonous, as the crewmembers had wrongly informed them that the snakes were simply harmless.

Our source says, “As a result, they were relaxed and went for the shot. Later while the shooting was going on, the snakes started coiling around their legs. Needless to mention, they were really scared but the two maintained their calm.”

It was only after the wrap-up that the two actors were told the snakes were deadly.

Neil tell us, “We stepped into the ocean but as we went slightly deeper, the snakes were slowly coiling themselves around our legs. We didn’t want to create a commotion and decided to stand quietly till they moved away. Later when we got out of the water we were told that they were poisonous.”

Climate change

Now that he is back in town, Neil is enjoying the weather. He points out, “The Fijian weather is very unpredictable. In spite of the island being surrounded by the sea, there were days the wind didn’t blow at all.

Sometimes there would be a storm. In Mumbai, at least, you can quite predict the weather.”

The actor might star in Anubhav Sinha's erotic next; film to be dedicated to Mukesh Bhatt

Neil Nitin Mukesh is gearing up to feature in his first erotic thriller to be made by Anubhav Sinha. Interestingly, the film that will go on the floors towards the year-end will be dedicated to Mukesh Bhatt.

Anubhav Sinha tells us, “Yes, I am doing an adult film and internally, I address it as a Mukesh Bhatt film. I believe that Bhattsaab (Mahesh Bhatt) and Mukeshji have created a space for which the Indian audiences have a huge appetite for — an erotic thriller with great music and exotic locations. I have met Neil for the film but nothing is finalised as of now.”

Sinha has given the task of directing the film to Ravi Rai. He says, “I am a huge fan of Ravi Rai and of the legendary work that he has done on television. I would like to call this one, a film on mature relationships.”

Sonal Chauhan gives Neil a makeover

Sonal Chauhan gives Neil a makeover
Sonal Chauhan and Niel Nitin Mukesh continue to keep the grapevine abuzz with rumours about their ongoing relationship

Looks like the two are not only steady but their romance is actually thriving. So much so that Sonal has even given her alleged sweetheart a makeover. Now everyone’s been talking about Neil’s new slick and edgy look in his new film opposite Sonal.

Our sources tell us that it was actually Sonal who gave him that look.

The source says, “While Neil and his stylist were considering maintaining Neil’s longer hair, it was Sonal who suggested that he should go with a shorter look, as she believes he looks much better that way. He took her suggestion seriously and decided to surprise her on the set with a new haircut.”

The source adds, “After reaching Fiji, he asked his hair stylist to cut his hair and arrived on the set on the first day of the shoot with a shorter look.” Now, that’s some personal touch!

Is Asin avoiding Neil Nitin Mukesh?

Asin Thottumkal basking in the glory of her latest success Ready, seems to have forgotten a few old friends. Neil Nitin Mukesh happens to be one of them. Their 'friendship' seems to have fallen by the wayside.

Is Asin avoiding Neil Nitin Mukesh? Not so long ago, the two of them were thick friends. Asin, in fact, took a few career calls for Neil in the past. When he was asked to star in Hriday Shetty's film, the actress came forward and told the director that the script wasn't good enough for Neil. Buzz is, Asin has gone into a different space after Ready hit the jackpot. A friend of Neil confirmed, "Yes. This is true. She has been avoiding him. Perhaps she got carried away by the success of Ready."

Added the source, "But it's okay. We all tend to go on some trip when we are on a high. Asin seems to be on a high horse right now. Neil and Asin's common friends also feel the same."But like every dark cloud, this one too has a silver lining. Filmmakers like Hriday Shetty, who were finding it difficult to cast Asin and Neil together can now, heave a sigh of relief.

Why's Neil Nitin Mukesh enthusiastic about Asin?

Guess who’s been promoting Asin’s name now? No, it’s not co-actor and friend Salman Khan. It’s actor Neil Nitin Mukesh. He has apparently found a good friend in Asin and suggested her name for his upcoming project. The two were earlier reported to have been seen dining together at some of Mumbai’s best hangouts. A source had revealed, “The two looked very, very comfortable with each other. They came together and left together.”

Why's Neil Nitin Mukesh enthusiastic about Asin?

Mukesh has been signed for Ravi Chopra’s forthcoming venture and sources suggest that he has been recommending his new-found best friend Asin’s name for the same. The insider informs, “Mukesh has been roped in for this project and he insisted that Asin should be his co-star in the film. So, on his insistence, Asin was approached for the project but apparently she quoted a very high price. Hence the film is on hold as of now, while the producers are trying to work out a deal.

It seems post the split with his childhood love, Mukesh has found a confidante in the charming Asin. And the two are in constant touch through text messages, even though Asin has been travelling for shooting Anees Bazmee’s Ready, her second film with Salman.

The light-eyed boy has always been known for bonding with his female co-stars, be it Katrina Kaif during New York’s shooting, or Deepika Padukone, with whom he watched her movie Karthik Calling Karthik, during his shooting days for Lafangey Parindey. And now Mukesh is leaving no stone unturned to help his new BFF Asin. Well, only time will tell where this new friendship heads.

Asin in Pocket Maar with Neil

Asin might have made it clear before that she will only act with Bollywood's 'A' team of stars like SRK, Salman, Hrithik and Saif, but if rumours are to be believed, the actress is all set to act with Neil Nitin Mukesh who does not figure anywhere in the list of the top 10 Bollywood stars. Asin is supposedly acting as Neil's heroine in Ravi Chopra's Pocketmar! Asin started her career with a bang in Bollywood with the blockbuster Ghajini, in which she played the lead along with Aamir Khan. She even refused to do films with today's hot heroes like Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan!

Asin Thottumkal turn again in bollywood

Asin, according to sources, has bagged the role in Pocket Maar because the other top Bollywood actresses have date problems and some of them are not very keen to pair up with a relatively new hero like Neil Nitin! Here in Kollywood, Asin is doing a Tamil project with Ilaiyathalapathy Vijay.

Plus the two are absolutely comfortable in each other’s company.” Interestingly, Neil and Asin will be seen in a film together. “Though she had not revealed any details or names, Asin had said that she was soon going to be a part of two films. Asin with Neil Nithin Mukesh

Asin is very serious of becoming the top star in Bollywood. She has been trying all the ways to get that done. After Ghajjini, Asin is getting no chances to act in Bollywood in main league. She is not ready to accept every film as she is worried about her image. Recently she found Godfather in Neil Nithin Mukesh who was also struggling. He signed on Ravi Chopra’s ‘Pocketmaar’ a few days back. As soon as he signed, he recommended Asin’s name to Ravi Chopra.

Abhishek Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Neil Nitin Mukesh: 'The Italian Job'

Earlier there was a lot of confusion with regard to the female lead as none of the top Bollywood actresses were willing to step into the film as the heroine has hardly anything substantial to do in the male centric film. But now we hear Katrina has given her nod. The rest of the cast is yet to be finalised. It is being said that the budget of the film is around Rs 40 crore, excluding prints and advertising. Meantime, the directors are also working on the sequel to ‘Race’ which is expected to release next year.

My character not influenced by Rani, Kajol: Deepika

My character not influenced by Rani, Kajol: DeepikaDeepika Padukone is playing a blind girl in 'Lafangey Parindey' and it instantly reminds one of Rani Mukherji's performance in 'Black'(2005) and Kajol's in 'Fanaa'(2006), but the actress maintains that she didn't let either of them influence her character.

"I have seen Rani in 'Black' and Kajol in 'Fanaa', but I didn't see them before my own performance because I didn't want to be influence by anyone else's performance.

I wanted my own take on what suits my character," Deepika told reporters at a press meet. "I have spend a lot of time with blind people and that helped me a lot," she added.

For the press meet, the set of Tilak Wadi, a fictitious place in Mumbai shown in 'Lafangey Parindey', was made in the studio and Neil Nitin Mukesh, Deepika along with a few other actors did a small act to give a feel of the film.

Singer Shail Hada, Suraj Jagan and Shilpa Rao sang songs from the film and it was complemented with dance performance. "I doubt if ever I have promoted any of my film like this. Another thing is I for the first time I interacted with my audience and fans at such an extent," said Neil.

Lafangey Parindey most challenging film - Deepika

From falling into a ditch to getting hit by an auto -- Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone faced it all while shooting for her upcoming movie Lafangey Parindey and she feels that it has been the most challenging film of her life. "This has physically been the most challenging film for me. I had to learn how to skate, then I had to act blind, I had to hold a pigeon, run behind a chicken, get bitten by a dead fish - don't ask me how," Deepika said.

"I fell a zillion times and even hurt my knee. By the way, my knee still hasn't healed. Oh! I also fell into a ditch with my face-in, got knocked over by an auto and hit a lamppost. I still have the mark where the fish bit," she added. Director Pradeep Sarkar has teamed up with Deepika, Neil Nitin Mukesh and a bunch of other actors to present the story of a group of youngsters living in the backstreets of Mumbai.

Produced by Adiya Chopra, it is releasing Aug 20, and will see Neil playing a boxer who fights blindfolded while Deepika will be seen as a visually challenged girl who can dance on skates. For her role of Pinky in the movie, Deepika had to train for almost six months on skates before the actual shooting started.

"At first, I trained in Mumbai with a local trainer. And then, Adi (Aditya Chopra) and dada (Pradeep Sarkar) flew down professional skaters from Italy. They wanted to make sure that whatever I do looks professional, exactly like we see on television," Deepika said.

Deepika, 24, feels that she has been lucky enough to play such a strong character so early in her career. "I was surprised when Adi offered me such a film so early in my career. He said that I had the potential to pull it off. So it was more like a challenge that was thrown at me," said Deepika.

"The offer came at such a time in my career that I was ready to take that challenge. It was also a very different kind of film. The character was very interesting, so I had to accept it," she added.

This is the first time Deepika and Neil are paired opposite each other and they share an interesting chemistry on screen. Talking about her rapport with Neil, Deepika feels she has found a friend for life in him. "Honestly, I think Neil is the most giving actor I have worked with.

I can definitely say that he is the most supportive. He puts me before himself. There are days when it's an important scene for him too but he would be there to support me and worry about my performance," Deepika said.

"Also, sometimes he wasn't even shooting but he would be there on the sets, helping around and be there to support me. So I can say that both professionally and personally, Neil has been there for me. I think I have a friend for life," she added.

Deepika, daughter of ace Badminton player Prakash Padukone, is hoping this movie sets a sports trend among youngsters. "I come from a sports family and am very passionate for all types of sports. So if this picks up, it will be cool to see youngsters skating around," said Deepika.

Neil Nitin Mukesh smooches Deepika Padukone

Neil Nitin Mukesh smooches Deepika Padukone

The Bollywood smooching session is back again and this time its Bollywood Actors Neil Nitin Mukesh who smooches Deepika Padukone. Oh Yeah!! You got that correct :-)

Bollywood Actor Neil Nitin Mukesh had to kiss Bollywood Actress Deepika Padukone on screen for their forthcoming bollywood film Lafange Parindey and the actor reportedly got cold feet. Not because he’s a virgin screen-kisser and, well, Deepika Padukone has the experience of kissing Saif Ali Khan before camera for the movie Love Aaj Kal… but, apparently, because Neil’s had a no-kiss policy in all his films so far.

His first director Sriram Raghavan had thrown a fit when Neil refused to kiss Rimi Sen. In his second film, Tera Kya Hoga Johnny, director Sudhir Mishra insisted Neil kiss Shahana Goswami. But the actor refused. Even in Jail where there was a love-making scene with Mughda Godse, Neil refused to kiss the sultry actress. But Lafange Parindey director Pradeep Sarkar pulled the plug on Neil’s chastity vow. A source from the set said it was a long, torrid smooch comparable in intensity and duration to the Aamir Khan-Karisma Kapoor kiss in Raja Hindustani. And Neil was nervous!

To be kissing the lovely Deepika! Makes us wonder ;-) Drop your comments below about it!!

Neil tells Shahrukh to shut up at Filmfare Awards

The who and who of Bollywood was present at the 55th Filmfare Awards held at the Yash Raj studios.

The noisy auditorium turned silent after Neil Nitin Mukesh told his seniors Shahrukh Khan and Saif Ali Khan to ‘shut up’.

Buzz up!The delegates at the function feared for the worst, as the memories of director Ashutosh Gowariker bursting out at Farah Khan and Sajid Khan at a film award function, rushed back.

Neil lost his cool at the recent Filmfare Award after co-host Shahrukh and Saif tested his patience. Shahrukh pulled the final trigger by saying why.

He has three names and no surname. He went on to say that his surname is Khan and so too Saif’s but he has no last name.

On being mentioned on his family, Neil got into a rage and told Shahrukh to restrain himself, as his father was in the audience.

He didn’t stop there. He told Shahrukh to just ‘shut up’. Silence followed after the unexpected outburst. After the show, Katrina Kaif went up to Neil and told him to apologise to SRK and Bipasha Basu told him that the act was scary.

The actor himself is yet to come out of the incident. The very thought of telling Shahrukh to shut up still shakes him. He said that he even broke eggs on the heads of Shahrukh and Saif at the end of the show. Hold on guys, it was part of the show. Neil revealed that Shahrukh told him what he should do on the stage.

He added that he was even asked to throw eggs at his co-hosts but he begged to at least spare him on that. He instead chose to break eggs on the heads after the show. Neil’s shocked father has not forgiven him for the act. He said that he is glad people has finally got a taste of his mischievous side but added that he would never repeat the act again…never again. Well Neil, your recent act has proved that you have come a long way as far as acting is concerned.
