Kangana Ranaut And Azeem Khan In Launching Ceremony Of Standard CharteredTo launch its preferred banking proposition for the fast-growing and affluent segment of society, Standard Chartered held an evening of entertainment on Tuesday where stand-up comic artiste Vir Das enthralled with his quick and ready wit, Sandip Soparrkar and Jesse Randhawa danced, and couturist Azeem Khan revealed his latest fashion collection.

The 60-minute, action-packed show was put together by Ashvin Gidwani Productions and choreographed by Marc Robinson. Stopping the show for Azeem was Bollywood hottie Kangna Ranaut, looking breathtakingly resplendent as she took the ramp with confidence and elan. The outfit she wore was auctioned later to raise funds for an eye hospital in Kolkata. Azeem, whose show was called 'An Indian Durbar at Buckingham Palace', said, "My collection draws inspiration from Queen Victoria's golden jubilee celebrations when Indian royalty was invited to Buckingham Palace. I have attempted to amalgamate glamor, class, elegance and style with the prerequisite elements of wear-ability, comfort and practicality.

Kangna Ranaut was the glowing showstopper at the dreamy, romantic and luxuriant show by celebrated couturier Azeem Khan at the Standard Chartered Preferred Banking evening on Tuesday. It was 'An Indian Durbar at Buckingham Palace' that drew inspiration from the late 1800's from Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee celebrations when the Indian royalty was invited to Buckingham Palace.

The show The packed house soaked in the feast of fashion at the show, featuring classy creations and embellishments of chunky crystals, threadwork, caviar beads and indigenously created sequins. Tulle, Chinese silk georgette, moiré, chiffon, linen, French satin, brocade, Japanese silk crepe were the fabrics used. Kangna's ensemble was auctioned for Rs 1.5 lakh to raise funds to the ' Seeing is believing' global initiative on avoidable blindness, supported by the bank.

The evening, orchestrated by Ashvin Gidwani and hosted by stand-up comic Vir Das, included some graceful moves by Sandip Soparrkar and Jesse Randhawa. Enjoying the experience at this exciting evening were Sandeep Das, General Manager, Premium Banking, Steve Bertamini, Group Executive Director, Consumer Banking, Standard Chartered Bank, the artistic and musical couple Bina and Talat Aziz, Naaz and Remu Javeri, Zeba and Rajesh Kohli, Sammeer Sheth, Sameena Khan and Kishin Mulchandani.
