Ash doesn't have swine flu

The Big B is in damage control mode. After indicating on his blog that Aishwarya Rai, his bahu, was down with fever and showing “flu-like symptoms”, superstar Amitabh Bachchan inadvertently ended up fueling the rumours that Ash was suffering from swine flu.

Losing no time, the media created headlines and television channels flashed on their tickers that Ash has swine flu.

Now, it turns out that Ash doesn’t have the dreaded influenza but just common cold and fever. It took another blog post from Big B to clear the air. “No, she does not have swine flu,” Mr Bachchan wrote on his blog on Monday.

The superstar, however, did not stop at that but went on to lambaste the media. “Little mention of Aishwarya's indisposition has created a media hurricane.

Ash was shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Guzaarish when she fell ill. She kept working despite her failing health and this made her further unwell. Now, she’s taken a few days off from the shooting to take complete rest at home. She’d been working non-stop since the last few months, shooting for Mani Ratnam’s Raavan, Vipul Shah’s Action Replay and now Bhansali’s film that has Hrithik Roshan opposite her.
