Bipasha Basu set to be celebrity judge a British reality show

Buzz is that Bipasha Basu will be appearing as a celebrity judge for a British TV show. It is learnt that during a recent visit to London, the actress confabulated with the concerned folk to discuss the deal.

Though everything is under wraps till the Bong bombshell inks the deal, this will be her first outing on an international TV programme. It is learnt that it is UK's top-notch reality show.

Quite Keen Says a source, "Bipasha is quite keen to be one of the judges on the show which has well-known British names.

She is looking at making a mark in the international arena now. As she is extremely articulate, the producers of the show came up with the offer."

Apparently, Bips has found the deal irresistible and lucrative and is certain to say yes to it. She will feature only for a few episodes. The move to rope in a Bollywood name in the show is also to rope in the Asian audience in UK.

Adds the source, "The organisers of the show feel that having an Indian movie star will only add to its appeal and lure in additional Asian audience.

Bipasha who was in London is now in the US as part of the Bollywood Meet and Greet fans programmes along with Shah Rukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Katrina Kaif. The actress remained unavailable for comment.

A spokesperson of Carving Dreams, the agency that handles her endorsements, says, "No comment." However the source adds, "Till everything is on paper, the it is mum's the word for Bipasha who feels this will be a big high for her career and to get noticed in the West."

Incidentally as reported 'Bips bani Tyra' (Hitlist, August 10), the actress will also be hosting the desi version of America's Next Top Model for an Indian channel. The show is being produced by Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Production.
