No, I didn’t bump into anyone: Deepika

Time and again one hears stories about Bollywood actors encountering their Hollywood counterparts during their visit to the West for an international event. PR machinery gets into an overdrive to flash pictures of stars standing next to some Hollywood greats while 1 plus 1 turns into 1111 in no time. Soon one starts seeing the signs of 'breaking news' as Bollywood-Hollywood collaboration starts looking like a reality, what with quite a few stars reveling in all the attention and hoping that media attention would eventually result in their Western dream turning into a reality.

However, this isn't quite a path that Deepika Padukone is looking at chartering as after enjoying a rather gracious walk on the ramp at Cannes film festival, she has silently moved on to her under production film BREAK KE BAAD with Imran Khan. "I was there only for the screening of a French film and came back in half a day's time. I flew down to Mumbai for a day and then took another flight to Mauritius", informs Deepika who is pleasantly surprised with all the media attention that her walk on the red carpet has fetched during last few days.

Also, she isn't looking at telling any stories about her 'conquest in the West' (which not many of her counterparts would have actually let go) or any accidental, intentional, incidental or devised meet with any international film maker. All she is admitting is the fun she had during half a day that she spent at the event and the memories that she brought home. "No, neither did I bump into anyone nor did I see any other recognizable faces around other than the ones from the French film", she smiles while denying meeting any international celebrities, "I guess that should set the records straight."
