Bollywood actress Amrita Rao threw a tantrum at the airport when she did not get a luxury car to pick her up and take her to the Ottera in Electronics City.
Where the Bangalore Fashion Week is being held. Finally, she took a hired cab instead of the Innova that was sent for her by the organisers.
According to a source, Amrita Rao was not too happy with travelling in the Innova that the show organisers, Dream Merchants, sent for her and was seen arriving at the hotel.
In Electronics City in an Easy Cab after spending two hours and 10 minutes on the road.
The driver of the cab, Byra Reddy said, "They first told me to drive to Electronics City and then half-way, it became Whitefield. Then back to Electronics City." The bill was Rs 1,257 for the trip.
Amrita was in the city to be designer Archana Kochhar's show-stopper for the Blender's Pride Bangalore Fashion Week. Kochhar and her team were present at the gate to receive Amrita.
The Oterra provides luxury cars such as Camrys and Corollas provided they are booked in advance.
While the rate for a Camry is Rs 4,500, for a Corolla it is Rs 3,309. An Innova's rate is Rs 3,000.
Kunal Chaurasia at the reception, said, "We were not asked to provide this service and the organisers looked into it themselves." Sajad Mahajan from Dream Merchants said he did not know how Amrita travelled. He said, "We sent her an Innova."
